Women's Tennis
Goal is 100 supporters
The Â鶹¹û¶³ Women’s Tennis team continues its legacy of excellence and competitive spirit, combining dominance on the court, achievement in the classroom, and a deep commitment to community. The Greyhounds finished the 2024–2025 season with an outstanding 17–4 overall record and a perfect 9–0 mark in Landmark Conference play, earning the #1 seed in the conference tournament. Moravian clinched its eighth straight postseason appearance and advanced to the championship match for the fifth consecutive year, showcasing the consistency, talent, and determination that define the program.
This season’s success was driven by standout performances across the lineup. Leah Zolotareva ’26 was named the 2025 Landmark Conference Player of the Year, while Izzy Szmodis ’26, Sydney Shifman ’27, Nicole Kalorin ’28, and Ali Willis ’28 joined her on the All-Conference Teams. Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas and her assistants were honored as the Landmark Conference Women’s Tennis Coaching Staff of the Year.
Last year the Greyhounds also excelled academically, earning the ITA All-Academic Team Award with an impressive 3.47 GPA, while six players were individually recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes–a testament to their dedication and discipline both on and off the court.
Community engagement remains at the heart of the program. For the fourth straight year, the team partnered with USTA Love Serving Autism and participated in cherished Moravian traditions including Heritage Day and Christmas Vespers, reinforcing the team’s commitment to service, inclusion, and connection.
