Presented by the Âé¶¹¹û¶³ Alumni Association

Friday, April 10 | 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.

Celebrate the brilliance within our community at Shining Lights, the annual Âé¶¹¹û¶³ Alumni and Community Awards. Join us as we recognize exceptional alumni, students, and community partners whose work lights the way for others. The evening will feature a cocktail hour, dinner, awards ceremony, dessert, and music.

2026 Award Recipients

Alumni Awards

The Young Alumni Achievement Award recognizes a young alum (graduated within the past two to ten years) who has achieved exceptional success in their profession.

Stuart H. Lubow ’79 - Comenius Alumni Award

The Comenius Award recognizes an alum’s outstanding achievement or service in their field of work. This is the Alumni Association's lifetime achievement award.

Kathleen Cannon ’86 - Haupert Humanitarian Award

The Haupert Humanitarian Award recognizes an alum who has rendered outstanding service in the cause of human welfare. The recipient’s service to humanity has achieved standards "above and beyond" the expected duties and responsibilities of their career. In addition, the recipient has made a positive difference in the lives of others, in the community in which they live, or in the community at large.

Michael A. Rossi Jr., PhD ’88, P’17 - Benigna Âé¶¹¹û¶³ Award

The Benigna Âé¶¹¹û¶³ Award recognizes an alum for their outstanding contributions to the field of education. Administrators, college professors, elementary and secondary teachers, and all those in the teaching profession are eligible. The recipient has made significant innovations in the teaching profession, or otherwise substantially impacted the education process, and has demonstrated dedication to the community at large.

Joseph B. Hoffmeier Jr. ’88 - Medallion of Merit Award

The Medallion of Merit Award recognizes an alum for their outstanding service to Âé¶¹¹û¶³ or the Alumni Association.

Emily R. Reiter ’19 - Young Alumni Achievement Award

The Young Alumni Achievement Award recognizes a young alum (graduated within the past two to ten years) who has achieved exceptional success in their profession.

John William Dadouris ’20 - Young Alumni Achievement Award

The Young Alumni Achievement Award recognizes a young alum (graduated within the past two to ten years) who has achieved exceptional success in their profession.

Shining Star Community Partnership Award

The Shining Star Community Partnership Award recognizes a business, organization, or individual (excluding current students, employees, and alumni) that/who supports Âé¶¹¹û¶³'s mission to prepare individuals for a reflective life, fulfilling career, and transformative leadership in a world of change. Strategic partnerships may include collaboration for shared resources, opportunities for innovation, and philanthropic engagement.
