Peace and Justice Student Learning Outcomes
- Identify the bases of such ideals as personal, interpersonal, and communal/global peace, social justice, and human rights through discussion of sociological, philosophical, religious, and other disciplinary approaches to “just peace”
- Apply diverse evaluative frameworks to make ethical decisions related to peace and justice issues
- Articulate the contributions and downfalls of religious ideas, practices, and commitments with respect to increasing justice, reconciliation, and peace building
- Apply skills of research, analysis, and writing to issues of religion, peace, and justice
- Demonstrate competency regarding the application of coursework to real-world situations and case studies through the experiential aspect of this minor
