Ethical Studies Minor
Are you interested in human happiness; what makes a good life; how values relate to culture; how to judge right and wrong behavior; how to investigate moral issues; how to deal with conflicting choices? Ethics, also known as moral philosophy, considers such fundamental questions.
An ethical studies minor can be a good companion for many majors in business, healthcare, sciences, and the humanities, and can make you more attractive to employers, graduate schools, medical schools, and law schools.
A minor in ethical studies includes five courses, at least three of which must be taken at Moravian (or another LVAIC institution). Philosophy 222, 224, and 355 are required. In addition, students must choose two course units from among the list below; one relevant course from outside the department of philosophy or one special topics course may be included in the minor, with approval from the chair of philosophy:
A student with a major in philosophy may not minor in ethics.
